What about that song is good? Bad? Ugly? Maybe you care; maybe you don't. Either way, I can at least give you an idea of what your ears will be in for.
That's why I review individual songs. Albums overall can have such variety that it's hard to give an overall review addressing everything some people will want mentioned—like, for example, that a song speaks from a cutter's perspective, or that there's an f-bomb in song #4.
All the song reviews here on About That Song… evaluate the music, lyrics, and vocals of artists' songs, as they apply. Since that's so subjective, I aim to provide an idea of what a song's like, so you can decide if it's worth risking your ears.
